JOB TITLE: Pre-Contract Quantity Surveyor
JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Burton Upon Trent Office (with site-based visits as and when required)
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Commercial Management Consultant (Various based on requirement)
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• As part of the Contract Management Bureau the role will involve completing all pre-contract quantity surveying activities for our range of clients
• Our clients require quick and efficient reviews of contract terms and conditions identifying potential risks.
• The role will involve completing:
o Terms and Conditions Reviews in an agreed format
o Letter of acknowledgement
o Payment cycle timetables
o Storage of all
• Ensure that all client terms and conditions are recorded as received and log into centrally stored database
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Enable clients to be comfortable to initiate construction projects
• Compilation of Payment Cycles to allow Clients to make valid applications in line with Terms and Conditions.
• Provide advice on contractual claims
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Other tasks as directed by supervision/management
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience with Quantity Surveying essential
• Experience with Contracts in Construction advantageous
• Degree in Quantity Surveying not essential but desirable
• Experience with Construction projects desirable
• Driving license
Skills:
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Confident and willing to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
• The role will come with a performance development plan that will guide the candidates training on contracts as required
• Complete administration tasks on time
• Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
• Ensure office space is always clean and presentable
